I regularly receive questions of all kinds from my subscribers and readers. The questions cover a broad variety of topics. On occasion I may use questions and my answers to them on this blog. I will always keep the identity of the person that asked the question anonymous unless given permission to reference them by name.

  1. Looking forward to your writings, Jane and I will be sure to check back to read up on all of your great advice and confessions.

If you need any proofreading, I am not a professional, but will be more than willing to give you my honest opinion, but I already know you are very good at organizing your thoughts and insights.

    Take care.

  6. Wondering if I can talk some shop with you via email about WordPress, blogging, anonymity (I’m very worried about how “coming out” will impact my career, kids & social stuff), and things of that scope? I just posted a comment re: why people go off their meds that has a little of what I’m trying to work on. I want to use wordpress but frankly, I’m a little confused as to how to get it onto my domain host’s server and use it to design a blog and things like that.

Your work is really well-done and I’d love to pick your brain in exchange for manuscript crits or anything you find useful that I can do for you.

  7. go ahead and email me, Jack. my email is on my home page. I can’t promise instant turnaround on my answers. just fair warning.

I am a bit of a newb in the blog world. I use a wordpress account. I am not really that sophisticated or knowledgeable about all this web 2.0 stuff, but I can try to answer your questions

    also thank you

  8. I was so happy to find your site. My son was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at age 16. He’s almost 24 now. He’s hospitalized again now because he was having trouble with a new med, abilify. I’ve always tried to interest him in something other than meds…eat, sleep, fish oil. Anything other than such strong meds but he is VERY resistant. Thinks the doctors know best despite their very poor track record with him. Will share your site with him. All the best

  9. Hello Cathy, thanks for stopping by. I wish you and your son good health and good luck.

  10. Hi Jane

I just came across your site today.. I was looking to see what was “out there” with regards to bipolar and yoga to see if I could contribute anything… and WOW – I’ve been blown away.

I was diagnosed with potential bi-polar years ago and put on medication. To cut a long story short – I took the decision to come off medication with the support of my GP and a psychotherapist..about 6 years ago.

My life’s journey ever since has been about finding balance.. I haven’t had any medication for 6 years – nor have I had any serious relapses.

On my journey – I too have discovered the benefits of yoga, something I am now in the process of exploring even further.

I have often throught of writing something about recovering from bi-polar, and I salute you for getting on with it. If I can be of any assistance in any way, shape or form, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

  11. Thank you Tina!

It is really good to hear about other recovery stories that involve these life journeys of self discovery.

Congratulations on your recovery and I do hope you blog about it.
