This is a very good article on meditation and I thought I would share it with you folks. I agree with all ten.

“In fit of helpless rage and depression I tried to commit suicide several times.”

That right there wasn’t you, that was lithium/whatever else making you think you want to kill yourself.

To this day you think you wanted to kill yourself because “your body betrayed you” - your body never betrayed you, nor did your mind, except you lost both to the hands of those drugs.

Your only sin? To be a free thinking, perhaps unruly child. Tho if you were unruly, it was probably because of the conditions/environment you lived in.

Now if after you freed yourself from all these shackles, it is still so hard to see how these mind altering drugs do just that, they take your mind away and then shit happens, shit that these criminal minds, hiding under the cloak of WANTING TO HEAL, make boatloads of money while systematically killing people.

They kill them softly, I give them that, but kill them surely.

& then you have people like you and Philip who are beginning to wake up to the truth of psychotropic medication and what do you do?

You turn around telling those who rage against the machine that they need to shut the fuck up, because they’re getting personal?

Laughable. Really.

The Jan 2008 issue of Natural Solutions (www.naturalsolutionsmag.com) has a good article on meditation with yoga breathing exercises. You might want to check it out. the name of the article is: Breathe to Beat the Blues and describes Pranayama techniques. I love that magazine, because it always has healthy alternatives for mental health.

I found an article on breathing but I don’t think it was the same one. That said, that looks like a wonderful site with voluminous information on it about a myriad of alternative health subjects. I liked it.

Thanks Denise!

sorry i don’t remember the exact name of the article - i sent it to Gianna.

Breathe to Beat the Blues is the name i guess, but I couldn’t find it listed on the site either. It’s a good magazine to pick up on the newstand. They always have great stuff in their issues. I’m never disappointed.
